Our Young Ones
Focusing on self confidence, group work, building relationships and developing musical ability, this is an exciting choir, which also acts as a bridge into the Focus Choir.
"Singing is like music to my ears!"
We encourage all the children to have a go at solo singing – be it a line or two, or a whole verse or song. There are opportunities throughout the year for performance during different community events, and there is a lovely sense of camaraderie amongst the choir members, and in the way that they welcome new members into the fold.
In 2019 they wrote their original song, ‘My Voice’, and recorded a music video which certainly shows their joy!
"I had been searching for a singing group for my 7 year old child to express herself in singing, and to nurture her love of it to develop her individuality & confidence & a way to really 'be herself'. SuSo have given all this, along with a deeply warm welcome, a community supportive atmosphere, and a sensitive approach to handling the pressure children feel in groups & in performing when they recognised she had ability beyond her years. The feel good vibes from the class last for days in our family. And individually, both Eimear and Claire have helped her to truly 'find her own voice' even at this young age. I could not recommend them more highly".
